Microsoft Surface Cinemagraphs

We partnered with Seattle based agency WE Worldwide to help create cinemagraphs for an online campaign to introduce the new Surface laptop. Cinemagraphs are the bridge between photo and film. While they look like photos at first, subtle movement in the image makes you stop and watch.

The premise of this campaign was to identify the Surface with both a luxury and wanderlust lifestyle. We placed the laptop in exotic outdoor locations and stylish homes and (home) office spaces.

The result is a series of moving photos, that make you stop what you’re doing and dream of the place you might go. Most people call them cinemagraphs. We also refer to them as GIF+.
